Andhra Pradesh Launches ‘Sanjeevani’ Healthcare Initiative with AI Doctor Access
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled an ambitious healthcare and governance initiative named ‘Sanjeevani’, set to be implemented across the state by August 15, 2026. This state-wide program aims to revolutionize healthcare delivery by integrating advanced technology and artificial intelligence to make quality medical services accessible to all citizens.
Introducing ‘Sanjeevani’: A New Dawn in Healthcare
At a public meeting held in Kandrika village, Yadamarri mandal, Chittoor district, Mr. Naidu shared the government’s vision of transforming healthcare through the Sanjeevani initiative. The program will enable doorstep delivery of 74 types of medical tests and is designed to energize preventive healthcare from the grassroots level.
One of the standout features of this initiative is the introduction of an “AI Doctor” — an artificial intelligence-based system through which citizens can receive medical consultations right from their homes. This innovation is expected to significantly enhance accessibility, especially for those who face challenges in visiting healthcare facilities.

Chief Minister Naidu emphasized that healthcare remains a top priority for his government, which believes technology-driven public welfare will redefine governance. He stated, “Even if one has wealth, power, and luxury, nothing is more important than health.” Through Sanjeevani, the government aims to bring world-class healthcare services to the doorstep of every individual.

The irrigation network, especially in the Rayalaseema region, has expanded with Handri-Neeva waters reaching Chittoor district. Plans to channel Krishna river water from Srisailam to Tirumala are also in progress, with timelines fixed for 32 irrigation projects statewide.
Industrial investments like the Google data center in Visakhapatnam and a defense manufacturing unit in Puttaparthi reflect the state’s robust economic trajectory. Additionally, a major gold mining project is set to begin in Rayalaseema.
The Chief Minister also urged citizens to prioritize rainwater conservation in light of the El Niño effect, underscoring the importance of protecting natural resources for sustained development.
