Uttar Pradesh TGT Exam 2026: Conducting Across State, Nine Dummy Candidates Caught
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission successfully conducted the written examination for the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) posts across the state on June 3, 2026. Dummy Candidates Caught During the Exam
Despite stringent measures, impersonation attempts were detected during both shifts. In the first shift, two dummy candidates were caught each in Lucknow, Bareilly, and Chitrakoot, and one each in Jaunpur and Mirzapur. During the second shift, two such impersonators were apprehended in Lucknow, and one in Hathras.
In total, nine fake candidates were arrested immediately by local police, while two others managed to escape from the examination centers. Legal proceedings are underway for all those involved in impersonation.
Candidate Participation Statistics
A total of 2,21,489 candidates appeared for the exam across Uttar Pradesh. The gender distribution was fairly balanced, with female candidates representing 45.41% and male candidates 52.42% of the total test takers.
